It was a fitting end for the main characters but there were so many loose ends. Even now, as I write this review, my mind is filled with questions as to how things would end for the other characters. This is so frustrating. The series was good but not '5 stars' good.This could just be me, but did Amara ever tell Noctis about her fake pregnancy? I did end up skipping over some parts, mostly the ones with Nala because I really didnt like her in book one or two. I should probably go back and read those parts since she may have died or something...I can't say I would be crying if that were the case.Actually, I kinda hated that Nala and Trent got married. I am just going to review all 3 books on here since I bought them as a bundle and read them within 3 days(too lazy to go to each book).Sooooo the first book was my favorite and I think the most amusing and entertaining one in the trilogy. I am quite happy with how the trilogy ended. I feel sorry for Nala, but I hope that she will get over Trent and have someone love her as unconditionally. He totally doesn't deserve her, mostly. Things so get quite outrageous, but I guess that it is to be expected with how things are.
I think the author wrote this book intending to deliver a perfect ending to this trilogy. It failed. There were a number of inconsistencies and faults and unaddressed issues like Nala and Trent's situation. Or the overall improbability of a HEA of a mortal female with an abusive dark god. Oh he wasn't physical per se in his abuse but mentally? Yeah, now there's another story.
