Riley is 12 (eternally) she died in a car crash with her parents and after hanging around the earth plane for a while with Ever, she moved on. Now in the 'here and now' she has a job. She is a 'Soul-catcher'. Her job is to persuade other ghosts and spirits to move on.In book 1 she tackled a group of ghosts that no one else could handle. Now she is basking in her glow (literally - ghosts glow when they complete a goal - do something good). Sent for a short vacation with her spirit guide BodhiThis must be my least favorite book in the series. I just could not care for Rebecca's character that much until later in the end (view spoiler)[when she forgave herself and those she trapped forgave her. (hide spoiler)] Her past and suffering on the hands of her father was really heart-breaking. Another cute book about Riley Bloom (Ever's little sister) learning to cope with her afterlife.In this book she learns what happens when you are angry and stubborn, and the good and bad of using you "free will".A nice quick read.
3.5 starsIm so glad that I decided to keep reading this series; I liked this novel a lot more that I liked Radiance. I felt like this second novel in the series has much more substance, and while Riley is still an immature pain in the butt, shes growing just a little bit, making better choices, and I was able to stomach her a lot more in this noveland the same goes for Bodhi.
