These are lush, lyrically gorgeous poems written with the interior house of dreams present throughout, rich and potent metaphorical messages assimilated along the lines of possibility and depth. Cardona is a poet to watch, a singer to hear, a voice that rings with refreshing capabilities! My only desire was that the book was longer, yet left wanting more is a great sign!
I am absolutely in love with this Gem of a book! There is so much power contained within its pages. It is a gorgeous poetic odyssey. The book is as captivating and layered as Hélène Cardona herself. Her gifted verse, awakens the Dream Self and takes the reader on an enriching journey of self discovery. Her words are a wise friend, encouraging deep reflection. Wondrous and unforgettable, "Dreaming My Animal Selves" is a work of art that is among the best of 2013!
