I am conducting what I'm shelving as a "New Adult (NA) Experiment". I'm going to work my way through some of the popular New Adult books and see if I can weed out the crap and hopefully find some surprising gems. Here's hoping!Rule contains every single thing I've come to hate about New Adult. You might think it no longer possible that I could be surprised by how terrible a NA book is, I thought so too before reading this. But this book was so annoying, so offensive, so bad, it seemed as thoughIm annoyed with myself for letting this sit on my kindle for so long, smooshed under a massive tbr pile. Rule is my weakness in New Adult. I love a hero who can be a bit of an arsehole but underneath has an ample amount of redeeming qualities. Its his protective and loyal qualities in Rule that make him so irresistible to Shawdespite the fact he unwittingly hurts her more often than he even realizes with his stream of one night stands. I loved their back story, their rich, complex, and tragic
1 Hilariously infuriating & Hilariously absurd StarsI wont even bother with a quote Buddy read with my beautiful partner in crime of NA books. We both hated this book so yeah it was an awesome bonding experience. I can totally see why I enjoyed reading this when I was 14.
